PRYMAL is a family-owned Latvian food manufacturer producing authentic South African-style biltong from 100% Latvian beef.

Founded by a Latvian–South African family, PRYMAL brings together South African food heritage, European quality standards and a shared belief that great nutrition does not need to be complicated.

We are proud to be Latvia’s first authentic biltong manufacturer, introducing a centuries-old tradition to a new generation of people who value real food and everyday performance.

Every batch is prepared and slowly air-dried in our production facility in Riga using carefully selected cuts of locally sourced beef. We believe exceptional products begin with exceptional ingredients, careful craftsmanship and patience, not shortcuts.

WHY BILTONG?

Biltong has been enjoyed in South Africa for generations. Unlike many processed meat snacks, authentic biltong is made by slowly air-drying whole cuts of beef, creating its distinctive texture, rich flavour and naturally concentrated nutrition.

It is naturally high in protein, low in sugar and made from real beef. It also provides nutrients naturally found in beef, including iron, B vitamins and creatine.

The result is a satisfying snack made from real ingredients.

For us, biltong represents everything PRYMAL stands for: authenticity, simplicity, quality and nourishment without compromise.

Our family has lived and worked across several continents, including more than a decade in Asia, where we experienced countless food cultures and ways of life.

Those experiences reinforced one simple truth: despite our differences, people everywhere are looking for food they can trust.

That journey inspired PRYMAL.

We wanted to create products that respect tradition while meeting the needs of modern life. Food that is convenient enough for today’s pace without sacrificing quality, transparency or nutrition.
